What is Volumetric Weight?
Dimensional weight, also referred to as volumetric weight, is a pricing approach used in the transport sector to determine the billable weight of a parcel based on its dimensions.
How do you calculate volumetric weight?
- Multiply the parcel’s three dimensions (length x height x width).
- If you are using centimetres then divide the result by 4000.
- The resulting figure represents the volumetric weight of your parcel.
- The greater between the Volumetric or the actual weight will be used to calculate costs.
